In recent years, the ministry has taken many significant steps to enhance, improve and deliver programs and services in a more culturally appropriate manner. Over the course of the last several months, the ministry has worked with staff and stakeholders to develop an action plan and operational plan that set out specific actions and timelines – and charts a strong path moving forward. The B.C. government is committed to ensuring Aboriginal people are supported to exercise jurisdiction in delivering child and family services. |
