The most common mental health problems are anxiety and depression, with suicide the second leading cause of death among young people in B.C. and in Canada. To make managing mental health problems easier, the Ministry of Children and Family Development offers a range of child and youth mental health programs and services in communities throughout B.C. The ministry works with community partners to provide services to children, youth and their families.
